In a minor deal on Tuesday, the Islanders picked up defenseman Rob Davison (non-pool) from the San Jose Sharks for a 7th round pick in 2008. Davison was more than likely shipped because of the arrival of Brian Campbell (Dale C.). Davison is conisdered a depth player who gets called up to fill gaps and that's as far as it'll probably go.
