The Lightning dealt veteran winger Jan Hlavac (non-pool) to the Nashville Predators for a 7th round pick in 2008.

The Lightning were more than likely pretty happy to be through with Hlavac. The Czech winger had a very frosty relationship with head coach John Tortorella, but who didn't, really? For a seventh round pick, the Predators add some veteran talent to go with some of their other Czech talent, which may be a quick fit. If he isn't a fit at all with the team, they only have 18 games left to deal with him, so it isn't a terrible loss.
