In a minor transaction, the Flyers managed to snag forward Patrick Thoreson (non-pool) off the waiver wire from the Oilers on Friday. Thoreson was being called up from the minors and had to clear re-entry waivers to do so. So, at half price of $543,000, the Flyers are willing to gamble on the forward.In 17 games with the Oilers, Thoreson had 2 goals and an assist.
