Finding guys who will play for the league minimum is proving to be less difficult for the Blackhawks as we might have thought it would be. The Blackhawks agreed to terms with unrestricted free agent forward Ryan Potulny, signing him to a 1-year, two-way deal, worth $500,000.
Potulny was another one of those players that had good enough numbers to be drafted this year and a move to Chicago, where the talent level is an upgrade from last year's Oilers, he might be in good shape for some points. In 2010, Potulny scored 15 goals and added 17 assists in 64 games in Edmonton, ranking him in the top 200 among forwards, so he might get some good consideration this year.
