Wild in Traverse City

The Minnesota Wild continued their Traverse City rookie schedule with a 5-1 win over the team from the Columbus Blue Jackets on Sunday, following up a 2-1 win on Saturday over the Carolina Hurricanes.  The Wild have already seen some good performances from both Casey Wellman, Jarod Palmer and Matthew Hackett in these early games, all likely going to see some extra time at camp this year.

The Wild are likely looking to fill some defense spots with some of their great youth, looking at Tyler Cuma, Marco Scandella or Nate Prosser to possibly make the jump in 2011.  I like Cuma for a late defenseman pick in the pool this year, if he is to make the team before the draft.
