Nilson to Tryout in Jersey

Do you remember Marcus Nilson? He last played in the NHL in the 2008 season with the Calgary Flames, scoring 3 goals and adding 2 assists in 47 games. He will be trying to earn a spot again in the NHL with the New Jersey Devils after reportedly accepting an invite to do so.

Nilson never had great success with the Calgary Flames, but in his days with the Panthers between 2001 and 2004, he had some good years topping out over 30 points in those years, which would make him a late round consideration in the hockey pool this year, if he was to have the same effect in the Eastern Conference.

Last season in the Swedish Elite League, Nilson had 51 points in 53 games, including 24 goals.  At age 32, he might still have some legs left in him to make a good run this Fall.
