Kings and Their Rookie Roster

After looking at the Coyotes release for their rookie squad, they were only going to play the Kings in a couple of exhibition rookie games, so I thought the next best thing to do would be to look at the Kings roster, since it would probably be ready as well.

Sure enough, with maybe a little more pizazz, the Kings roster doesn't look half bad and should provide some adequate youth to the Kings training camp for next week.

A few names on this list will raise an eyebrow or get a wry smile, maybe more so for the future than now, but definitely something to build upon. Up front, I like Corey Elkins, Brandon Kozun, Andrei Loktionov and Brayden Schenn right now, but its really too bad about Schenn's injury.  His knee injury may limit or eliminate his participation in this camp.  On defense, Thomas Hickey and Colten Teubert have been favourites for a while, but have yet to breakthrough.  I would imagine one of them will work their way into the open 7th man spot left behind by an injured Matt GreeneMartin Jones is the headliner for me among the goalies, having played for the Hitmen and Canada at the World Juniors, but he's in a line-up that might take a while in the crease.
