I would have to think that the schedule is getting hard on the 6th overall pick in 2009, Oilver Ekman-Larsson, as he was a healthy scratch for the Phoenix Coyotes on Friday night against the Dallas Stars, the first time he was scratched this season.
Ekman-Larsson has been getting some good minutes on the blueline for the Coyotes, getting anywhere between 16-to-20 minutes on a regular night and that has led to 2 assists in his first 11 games.
The 19-year old Swede is Clayton's 13th round pick, 253rd overall and there is plenty of hope that the NHL schedule won't be too hard on him, because his talent is definitely there. The Coyotes are playing in back-to-back nights, so I would imagine Ekman-Larsson will be back in the line-up against the Penguins on Saturday night.
