Sheet Player News (Nov 7)

Saturday night saw Box 12 defenseman Willie Mitchell leave the Kings game versus the Predators with an upper-body injury. The first panic button that was hit hearing that was about the concussion he had suffered last season, but the reports are saying that it isn't his head, likely it is his arm that was hurt. A sigh of relief for many. We'll consider Mitchell day-to-day with an upper-body injury for the moment.

Box 13 defenseman Nick Schultz left Saturday night's game against the Blue Jackets after taking a puck to the face in the 3rd period and didn't return to the game after getting stitched up for repairs.  This doesn't sound like a major injury or one that he will miss any more time to, especially since the Wild do not play again until Thursday night, so there will be plenty of time to rest up and recover.

In other Wild news, with the long break ahead of them, the team has sent a couple of the minor-league eligible players back down to the AHL, to ensure they have some more playing time.  This move included Box 9 forward Cody Almond, who was called up earlier this week to help fill some gaps in the Wild line-up.  I would imagine that Almond may be back up with the team, especially if Pierre-Marc Bouchard is still unable to go by Thursday.
