The Colorado Avalanche received an injury scare on Wednesday night, as Paul Stastny fell awkwardly into the boards against the Blackhawks. As of Thursday afternoon, I still haven't seen anything more about his injury, but I am keeping a close eye on it... as is Benson, who has him in the draft this year.
Chris Pronger left the Flyers' game against the Canadiens during the 2nd period after suffering a lower-body injury. The injury is believed to have happened to his leg and he has undergone some scans and some tests as of Thursday afternoon, but results won't be known until Friday.
The Blues also lost their top defenseman on Wednesday night, as Erik Johnson suffered a lower-body injury after colliding with the Red Wings' Pavel Datsyuk. The extent of the injury is not yet known, but the immediate word is that we should consider him day-to-day for right now.
