Still finding new stuff to write about on Saturday morning... Islanders forward Matt Moulson left Thursday's game against the Devils with an upper-body injury, which has been suggested to be a head injury. Of course, with the holiday break in full effect, there won't be any new news until Sunday, when the Islanders take to the ice again against the Montreal Canadiens.
In the draft, Benson is waiting to hear whether or not Moulson will be able to go, trying to keep his team in 3rd place or better in the standings. Moulson isn't one of Benson's marquee players this year, with only 17 points in 32 games with the Islanders, he is just considered to be one of the foot soldiers. Still, a loss of a scoring forward won't help. If there is any long-term injury concerns, an update will be posted. For now, consider him day-to-day.
