Due to a lack of offense from the blueline, the Blue Jackets decided on Monday night to scratch Fedor Tyutin from their line-up against the Dallas Stars. Tyutin, who was also recently dropped at the waiver draft for a lack of production, probably didn't have much of an argument for the case, as he only has 4 assists this season. I would imagine that the Box 11 defenseman will find his way back into the line-up soon.
The Capitals wanted to infuse their line-up with a bit more offense by recalling Mathieu Perreault from the minors on Monday, which meant that Box 23 forward Eric Fehr was going to fall victim to the scratch against the Maple Leafs. The Capitals did get a little extra offense from Perreault, scoring 2 goals, but the Capitals still have up a big lead to lose in the shootout to Toronto.Link to the Injury/News Page
