A quick update on Oilers' Box 13 defenseman Jim Vandermeer... he is expected to miss a couple weeks after rolling his ankle on Sunday night against the Canucks. The injury doesn't sound too severe, but when dealing with that part of the body, it is better to be safe than sorry, especially with all the pressure that is put on it on any given night.Vandermeer has 5 points in 24 games for the Oilers this season and is a key sign as to the amount of depth they had on the blueline going into the year, since he has made it onto the selection sheet.
