The Sabres lost two key defenders on Monday night in their loss to the Rangers, 3-2 in the shootout. Both Dimitri Kalinin (Box ) and Jaroslav Spacek (non-pool) left the game with injuries, both of which could be long-term. Spacek suffered an upper-body injury, which has been said to be the worst of the two injuries, while Kalinin's ailment was yet to actually be announced.
The Sabres will likely recall players today to fill the void left behind by the two defenders.
