Cheechoo and Rivet Sat Last Night

In Friday's game against the Ducks, Sharks forward, Jonathan Cheechoo (Peter), found himself cross-checked to the head and on Tuesday, the whiplash from that incident caused him to miss a game due to stiffness in his neck. He's currently listed as out day-to-day.

In somewhat of a surprise move, Craig Rivet (Aaron) was scratched from the line-up and watched the game against Phoenix from the press box. Rivet has been one of the more productive Shark blueliners this season, but has suffered mightily over the last eight games. Rivet has only managed one assist and has been a -1 in that stretch. In the last three games, he had his usual 20 minutes of ice-time taken down to just over 16. This is the second time he's been scratched this season.

The Sharks go again on Thursday at home to Dallas.
