On Monday night, the Minnesota Wild had sat both Pavol Demitra (Ryan) and Pierre-Marc Bouchard (John P.) from the game against the Edmonton Oilers, while both Eric Belanger (Don) and Mark Parrish (Box 9) returned to the line-up. There was no official reason found for both Demitra and Bouchard's absence from the game, but it could be speculated that the flu had hit the dressing room, as it has most of the other teams.
Minnesota hosts Edmonton on Wednesday night, as their next game and it should be expected that both Demitra and Bouchard are in the line-up. The Wild currently sit in top spot in the Northwest Division, heading into Tuesday's play. They currently need four more points to clinch a playoff spot in the Western Conference, but a regulation win against the Oilers on Wednesday will clinch it for them, as it stands to be a 4-point game in the standings.
