On Wednesday night, the Anaheim Ducks beat the Kings, 2-1, to clinch their spot in the playoffs to defend their Stanley Cup championship. The team has had it's share of news throughout the year, be it guys who couldn't decide whether or not to retire, injuries or at the moment, suspensions.
The Ducks have been one of the league's hotter teams of late and are obviously one of the favourites to win it all again, according to a lot of the TV pundits and people you ask around the water cooler. This team has a lot going for it and if they can make it through the first round of the playoffs unscathed, then they will actually get an injury or two back, which should make them stronger. Scary, I know.
Currently, this is what the team looks like heading into the playoff round and in bold are the players who are on the Sherpa's playoff sheet. In red, the player is either injured or suspended.
