Forsberg Returns Tonight

It's a call-to-arms, of sorts, for Peter Forsberg (Wes). The Avalanche have had a well-documented case of injuries over the last few days, weeks and months; but the team will be happy to get their late-season signing in the line-up for a bit of a regular season reunion.

Forsberg has been skating for quite some time in Sweden before joining the Avalanche. Since his signing, he has been actively skating in warm-ups and took part in his first full practice with the team yesterday.

With division rivals, the Canucks, in Denver tonight, it was no better time to get the Swede back. The Avalanche are currently tied with the Canucks for seventh in the West with 74 points, but the Canucks still have a game in hand, so this result will be key for either side.

For Wes, it's a case of 'too little, too late.' He still holds a good lead over eleventh spot in the Standings (31 points), but the money spots are out of reach.
