The Capitals managed to score four goals in a game and none of them had a point from Alex Ovechkin (Clayton), which left Cristobel Huet (Stuart) taking his two points and running. Not only that, Vincent Lecavalier (Stuart) managed to snake an assist out of three Tampa Bay goals, which left that key game at 3-0 for Stuart.
Clayton did manage to get four points out of the Rangers/Devils game, with Chris Drury (Clayton) getting a trio of assists in their win.
The lead, however, did manage to snake back up to 16 points last night. Both teams have 18 man-games to be played through the weekend, which should prove to be rather interesting. Tonight, there are eight games on tap in the league, which should be a busy night. Stuart has six man-games and a starting goalie going tonight, while Clayton has seven man-games and his starting goalie going tonight. There is ample opportunity for the lead to be cut into yet again.
