The playoff push for the Predators is in full swing, as they are only 2 points out of 8th in the West with only 10 games to go. Unfortunately for them, they were missing defenseman, Dan Hamhuis (John B.), in their loss to the Kings to a leg injury. The injury is still only considered to be out day-to-day, but this comes at a tough time, as the team needs one of their best defenders.
Hamhuis was a waiver draft pick-up back in Week Ten and hasn't disappointed. Since being picked up, he's scored 13 points in 46 games, which isn't too bad for a late round defenseman. On the season, Hamhuis has 24 points in 70 games.
The Predators next game will on Saturday when they go into Detroit, to take on the West-leading Red Wings. I'm sure there is a great deal of hope riding on Hamhuis' injury.
