Thursday has brought yet more news of a player undergoing season-ending surgery. The Blackhawks will now officially be without Martin Havlat (Marcus) after deciding to repair his shoulder problem with some surgery.
The oft-injured Czech forward won't even get the chance to add on to his 28 points (10G, 17A) in only 36 games this season. Havlat has really become an unreliable pool asset in his career. It's somewhat of a surprise that some people still have hope in him.
This injury now leaves Marcus with three players who won't play another game in the last few weeks of the season. It's been a tough year for Marcus on the injury front and now this should be the icing on the cake. He still has a few weeks to put the cherry on top...
