It looks like we're not quite done with Jonathan Cheechoo just yet. The former 50-goal scorer had the last year of his deal bought out by the Senators at the end of June, making him into an unrestricted free agent, but hasn't had much for contract offers of late. The Dallas Stars released on Saturday that Cheechoo has been invited to their training camp and he will have a chance to take the long road to a new NHL deal.
In 61 games with the Senators, Cheechoo had 5 goals and 9 assists, which is a long way away from his Rocket Richard Trophy season in 2006.
