The Buffalo Sabres have re-signed bubble/depth forward Matt Ellis to a new 1-year, two-way deal on Tuesday afternoon. The deal is reportedly worth $650,000 for the 2011 season, which should help the Sabres cozy up to the cap ceiling a little easier with a full roster.
Ellis played in 72 games for the Sabres in 2010, scoring 3 goals and adding 10 assists for the club, which are not necessarily pool worthy numbers, but his games played should make him into a reasonable roster player or at least one who is on the bubble.
