Another depth injury to speak of today. The Minnesota Wild have lost 3rd/4th line centre James Sheppard for upwards of four months to a fractured patella, which was reportedly suffered while riding an ATV recently. Sheppard had to undergo surgery to repair the injury and will now miss out on a contract extension, which he signed in June.
Sheppard was ranked really low in scoring last season, so he really isn't a player worth considering at the draft, but when you see his name in red on the next team update, you'll at least know why.
