Canadiens Add Halpern

The Canadiens added a little bit more bottom six depth to their squad on Tuesday, signing Jeff Halpern to a new 1-year deal, reportedly worth $600,000.  I don't have much doubt that he was added to shore up their bottom six, but he does have a little bit of offensive upside, 19 points in 71 games last season with the Lightning and Kings.  Unfortunately, that upside isn't quite good enough to be drafted in the pool, nor really be considered for the Sheet pool, but he should be a solid roster play and he might find some chemistry for a mid-season add.
