A lot of these kids are fresh draft picks, getting their licks in with the big club, some of which don't even have their entry-level deals signed. Nevertheless, this is a good experience for the lot of them and this tournament has seen some solid NHLers pass through already.
The players that I'm looking for to breakthrough a bit are Evgeni Grachev and Derek Stepan up front and Ryan McDonagh and Lee Baldwin at the back. Both goalies don't really excite me, but I'm sure there is a spot in the training camp roster up for grabs for one of them at the very least. I'm very curious to see what Ryan Bourque and Christian Thomas have to offer out of their NHL pedigree, but expectations are low this year, as they are still really fresh faces.
