A bad break for Kings' roster hopeful Brayden Schenn, as there are reports surfacing that the 19-year old forward has suffered a knee injury, only days before the Kings rookie camp has opened up. Schenn is scheduled for an MRI in Los Angeles on Thursday, where the team hopes to know more about the injury and when he will be able to participate in any sort of training activities.
I think it is fair to say that Schenn was likely going to be looked towards for some rookie punch in some drafts, possibly even mine. Let's all hope that the injury is just a sprain and he can return to action soon, hopefully around training camp. If the injury is more severe, expect another post, otherwise we'll just consider him day-to-day right now.
