On Wednesday night, the Bruins will be in Carolina to take on the Hurricanes and they will be without one of their top forwards, David Krejci, for the affair. Krejci was held back in Boston with an undisclosed injury and will be re-evaluated for their next game, which goes Saturday in Chicago. For the time being, we should be considered Krejci as out day-to-day, until the official diagnosis comes down.
In the opening three games of the season, Krejci has only 1 goal to his name, which isn't a blinding start by any means. In the 2011 season, the Czech centre had 62 points in 75 games, dealing with a number of injuries as well that year as well. With this new injury news, he could now start to be considered for the injury prone list next season.
At the draft for this season, Ryan M. had picked Krejci in the 6th round, 130th overall, well down from his overall ranking in 2011 (64th), as there looks to be some suspicion about the Bruins and their scoring within the pool. Going into Wednesday's action, Ryan currently stands in 20th spot with 9 points, already 20 points back of the leader.
