Good news for the Canadiens on Thursday, as they are likely going to welcome back Mike Cammalleri to their line-up against the Pittsburgh Penguins and fellow injured teammate, Jaroslav Spacek, isn't too far away. Both players were taking the morning skate and it was announced that Cammalleri is certain to go and Spacek could very well be a game-time decision, but less likely to go.
Cammalleri left the team just over a week ago with a leg laceration and fortunately, he only missed three games this year, which isn't too bad. In the first two games of the year, Cammalleri registered 1 goal, so he'll be itching to get back to it.
In the draft, when Cammalleri left the Habs' roster, Stacey C. was in 17th place, already 16 points out of 1st place and upon his return tonight, Stacey currently stands in 12th place, but 25 points back of 1st place. Some of the teams in front of Stacey at the time fell off the radar a bit, but his team could not keep up with the leaders in the 10 days or so that Cammalleri was away. Getting a sniper of Cammallieri's calibre back will surely help his cause.
