This move has little bearing on the offense of the club, but the Montreal Canadiens have added some size and defensive prowess to their roster, claiming forward Blair Betts off of waivers from the Philadelphia Flyers. Betts is a big body, known for his face-offs and penalty killing abilities, which actually has a lot more bearing on the Montreal goaltending situation, likely improving their projections for an extra win or two in the 2012 season.
Betts topped out at only 12 points in 75 games, which is hardly pool-worthy, even in a deep pool. If you haven't drafted yet, you may want to bump Price and Budaj up slightly, if you were going to make any adjustments.
