Sheet Player News (Oct. 25)

It's been a slow start to the season for Florida Panthers defenseman Keaton Ellerby, as he's been battling to stay in the line-up on a regular basis early and having troubles sticking.  On Monday night, Ellerby was a healthy scratch against the Montreal Canadiens and will likely be in and out of the line-up throughout the season, unless he breaks out or goes completely cold.  The Panthers have some depth on the blueline, so there is no rush for the organization to really push him.

Having missed a game last week, somewhat under the radar, Andreas Nodl was a scratch again for the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday night against the Maple Leafs.  It hasn't been determined whether or not Nodl missed out of the game due to injury or if he was actually a healthy scratch, not being able to be slotted in appropriately into the line-up.  With all the changes to the complexion of the Flyers, it wouldn't surprise me if Nodl was the odd-man out of the equation, but I'll be patient and wait to see what the actual word is.
