Pittsburgh Penguins forward Dominik Simon left last night's game against the Colorado Avalanche, at the time, with an undisclosed injury. This afternoon, the team's coaching staff updated his status, saying that he is day-to-day with the issue. There's no indication whether or not he'll play in the team's next game, Thursday night, at home against the Islanders.
Simon has barely removed the new player smell off of him on Jesse's pool team, playing in one game upon being activated on his roster. Before being picked up, he had 13 points in 25 games and now we wait to see when he'll be back in the lineup.
What we do know today is that William Nylander will make his season debut tomorrow night against the Red Wings, much to the delight of Brenda & Seward. Also set to make a return to the Sharks' lineup tonight is forward Timo Meier, meaning that Dale C. will get one of his best forwards back tonight.
