Leafs' Hyman Out With Ankle Injury

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced that forward Zach Hyman would miss the next three weeks with an ankle injury on Thursday night, while they were playing the Florida Panthers.  Hyman was hurt in Tuesday's game against New Jersey and testing afterwards revealed the extent of the injury, which wasn't necessarily disclosed, but the timetable for a return was.

The 26-year old hasn't exactly cashed in on the windfall of offense that the Leafs have had this season, but his numbers aren't too bad.  In 32 games this season, he has 7 goals and 15 points, shuffling up and down through the lineup on any given night.  Currently, he ranks 239th in hockey pool scoring, 168th among all forwards.

The only upside to this injury for Derek B. is that it didn't happen to one of his prized rookies.  Derek has pretty much given up on the overall standings and has concentrated on the rookie pool to get his money back.  In the overall standings, his team sits in 23rd, still 18 points clear of last place.
