Noon Player Notes (Dec 27)
The Boston Bruins confirmed this morning that defenseman Charlie McAvoy will miss out on tonight's game against the New Jersey Devils, due to a lower-body injury he suffered in the last game before the break against the Hurricanes. McAvoy blocked a shot in that game and it stung him pretty bad, so he is being held out tonight, listed as day-to-day.
On the plus side for the Bruins, defenseman Zdeno Chara and forward Jake DeBrusk are among a few that are ready to come back tonight and will be in the lineup for the Devils. Chara is returning from a knee injury and DeBrusk has the green light from a concussion, both have missed significant time.
So, Brenda & Seward will miss a skater game, while Benson and Stacey M. get players back to start the run to the New Year. Of course, the news of DeBrusk's return is the most important to the money race, as Stacey's team has been running hot without him and now get another scoring winger back, so this could turn out to be a quick runaway here before too long.
