Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Jamie Oleksiak was held out of Thursday night's game against the Minnesota Wild because of a concussion he suffered on Wednesday night against the Washington Capitals. Oleksiak lost a fight to Tom Wilson, being on the wrong end of a haymaker and it forced him from the game and kept him out of last night's game as well. There is no indication of a timetable for a return, so it's hard to say whether or not it's day-to-day or indefinitely and there has been no placement on the Injured Reserve yet either. For now, he'll be day-to-day, until we hear otherwise.
For Brian's team, this pickup in the Waiver Draft hasn't quite worked out for him as good as he probably would have hoped. Oleksiak has appeared in nine games for the Penguins, since being activated, but has only registered 1 assist. Now, Brian's blueline is missing a couple of players and may suffer in this next stretch.
