Noon Player Notes (Dec 19)

Detroit Red Wings goalie Jimmy Howard was a late scratch for Tuesday night's game against the Philadelphia Flyers, due to a back injury. It was such a late scratch, the Wings had to dress an emergency backup for the game to sit behind Jonathan Bernier.  The team says that the injury isn't considered to be anything substantial, just a day-to-day issue.  The Wings go back-to-back, Saturday and Sunday, so it will be interesting to see how day-to-day this injury actually is.

Tony's team is in the early stages of going from first to worst in weekly scoring and a goalie injury certainly won't help.  It might not be time to panic just yet, since he still has 34 projected games left to play this week.
