A rough season just gets even rougher for the Carolina Hurricanes and we haven't even hit 2008 yet. Just a week after losing forward Justin Williams (Ryan) for the rest of the season to a knee injury, the Hurricanes get another scare against the Rangers last night.
Waiver Draft pick-up, Matt Cullen (Don), took a big pop to the head from Ranger forward, Colton Orr (non-pool). Cullen laid motionless on the ice briefly before being taken off the ice with a stream of blood coming from his face. There is little doubt that Cullen has suffered a concussion, which should be at least a week of missing games... possibly more.
There should be little doubt that Orr will be suspended at least a couple games for his elbow to the head. The precedent has been set already this year, so look for it to follow suit.
