Even from here, I can feel the fear eminating from Buffalo's HSBC Arena. The Sabres top-scorer left last night's game against the Islanders with an apparent shoulder injury.
Derek Roy (Stuart) has been one of the bigger sleeper hits in the pool this season with 29 points in 32 games, including a goal in the 5 minutes of ice-time he had last night.
I don't have the information about how the injury occurred, but I have read that he left the game with the shoulder injury and didn't return. This will probably make him questionable for Friday's tilt against the Flyers, but stay tuned to the injury page to make sure.
Also leaving the game for the Sabres was Tim Connolly (Chris). He left the game with flu-like symptoms... something that has taken the league by storm this winter. We should assume that he'll be okay to go on Friday, unless he didn't get enough vitamin C or sleep.
