The Islanders announced on Friday that they have signed bluechip prospect, Kyle Okposo (non-pool) to a 3-year entry level deal. Okposo, 19, has been playing with the University of Minnesota in the NCAA this season and is currently playing for the USA at the World Juniors.
Okposo has drawn some comparisons to Jarome Iginla (Aaron) as the prototypical power forward, which should have many Islander fans excited. He'll definitely find a spot on the Selection Sheet next season in one of the youngster-filled boxes, which should also excite some of the poolies.
