The life of a crasher and banger in the NHL is a rough & tumble one... just ask Tomas Holmstrom (Don).
The Swedish winger wrecked his knee in a collision with Blues forward Jay McClement (non-pool) and had to leave the game with the injury. Holmstrom had returned from another knee injury earlier in the week, so this would rank the winger as super-unlucky this season.
The grinding winger has been the benefactor of the Wings run & gun play this season (when he's in the line-up). He has 31 points in the 33 games he's played in, which you can attribute a lot of those to the players he lines up with. Fingers are crossed in the Detroit organization, hoping that he isn't out for too long.
