We're now getting to the point where we're looking at the standings a little bit more for the teams in the league, as well as the pool... and Toronto does find themselves amidst the race for the East, despite the poll from last week. They are tied for 8th, but sit in 10th, so any win will boost their chances.
We all know that goaltending is the best way to get the wins, but Vesa Toskala (Benson) was not able to start with the team after the break due to a groin pull. He wasn't dressed for the game against the Islanders last night and he isn't expected to dress tonight versus the Flyers tonight. Instead, Andrew Raycroft (Box 24) will get the green light to go and Scott Clemmensen (non-pool) will back him up.
This is some pretty bad news for Benson as well, who's watching himself fall out of the money in the Draft. We've been finding that goaltending has been the key to a lot of success to the Draft leaders this season.
