The St. Louis Blues will again be without defenseman Barret Jackman (Box 5) after suffering a concussion last night against the Detroit Red Wings.
Jackman, not a very popular Sheet player, was dropped by Dieter at the Waiver Draft due to his low productivity. This season, Jackman has 4 points in 34 games for the Blues. There was a certain expectation level that the Blues thought he would reach offensively, but he hasn't hit any of those levels at all. His career has been pretty up and down, he has seen plus/minus numbers as high as +23 in St. Louis, but this season is a dismal -14 before this injury.
The Blues have called up young defender Steve Wagner (non-pool) from Worcester today to take his spot in the line-up. Wagner has already played in 21 games for the Blues, already registering 8 points and a even plus/minus rating.
