Despite some injury problems for the Boston Bruins, there will be nothing handed to the number two overall pick in last Summer's draft, Tyler Seguin, as he was made into a healthy scratch on Wednesday night, as the team took on the Canadiens. Seguin hasn't exactly dazzled the scoresheet with big numbers, but he is learning the game quite well at the top level, but obviously there was something lacking in his game that the coaching staff picked up on. I would imagine Seguin will be back in the Bruins line-up before too long.
It hasn't been a good couple of days for Wayne H. in the pool, as his goalie that he chose in the waiver draft went down for the rest of the year and now some work ethic issues from some of his young players. Wayne is currently in 6th place, 15 points out of the money, and he doesn't need any excess time missed in his line-up.
Working visa issues are keeping Peter Forsberg out of the Avalanche line-up this week. Forsberg has been waiting to get clearance to work since getting re-signed by the team on the weekend, but the organization and the player are confident that Forsberg should be able to get everything resolved before the end of the week and hopefully get into the next game or two on their current road trip.
Our draft leader, Allan S., is desperately awaiting the arrival of Forsberg into the line-up, as he could find himself in a pretty good position, better than the 5-point lead he already holds. Forsberg is quite the talent, even if he doesn't have quite the step he used to, he should be able to find space again and make things happen. If this is the case, Allan could very well run away with the pool.
