The return of Steve Montador from his concussion meant the demotion of Box 30 defenseman Chris Butler to the press box again this season. He joined Craig Rivet, as they have been the two most consistent defensemen in the press box for the Sabres this season. A healthy blueline means they'll be spending even more time together down the stretch. I wouldn't be surprised if one of them were moved at the deadline for some futures.
Another return means another demotion, as Anton Volchenkov finally finished serving his 3-game suspension this week and was officially back in the Devils line-up on Friday night for the 1-0 shutout win over the Rangers. Heading up to the press box was Box 30 defenseman Mark Fraser, who really couldn't impress enough to save himself a trip back up to the press box in Volchenkov's absence. Still a lot to happen before the end of the deadline, so Fraser might figure back in soon.Link to the Injury/News Page
