It sort of sounds like another mis-diagnosis by the medical staff of a team or it could be a little bit of a red herring. I'm sure teams would look at players a little bit differently if they were mis-informed.
I had originally read that Sergei Fedorov (Box 7) was diagnosed with a hip pointer and that was the reason why he had missed the last two games for the Blue Jackets. This morning, the reports out of Columbus are that Fedorov has suffered a concussion, but still may be able to play on Thursday, just before the All-Star Break. I wouldn't imagine that the team would push him too hard, right before a lay-off.
