Malkin Finally Going

It was made official with the announcement that Sidney Crosby (Benson) will be out 6-8 weeks with his high ankle sprain, that Evgeni Malkin (Dale B.) will be attending the All-Star Game and Dale will finally have some participation in the game.

Thus far in the season, Malkin has tallied 56 points (26G, 30A) in 48 games for the Penguins and was the highest scoring player not to be going until today. He joins Marc Savard (John P.) has injury replacements already announced for the game. An injury replacement will still have to be named for Western Conference player, Paul Statsny (Wes), as he'll be out of the game as well after surgery to remove his appendix. Rumour also has it that Henrik Zetterberg (Wes) will also skip the game to heal his ailing back, but that will likely be announced later.
