The Blackhawks are faced with some rookie injury problems in the coming days and weeks. Last night against the Kings, the Blackhawks were already without defenseman Cam Barker (Box 11) with the flu, but then the young Chicago team lost rookie goal-scoring leader, Jonathan Toews (Chris) to a knee injury.
Barker isn't expected to be out for too long... he could be back into the line-up when they travel to Phoenix on Thursday. He is still active on 2 Sheet teams at the moment, despite spending a good portion of the season in the minors. Barker has only played in 4 games this season, registering an assist.
Toews on the other hand is now likely to miss 2 to 4 weeks with a knee injury and that is a pretty big blow to both the Draft and the Sheet. In the Draft, he is a part of the team in the lead for Chris and was taken 5 times in the Sheet pool.
