The Hurricanes managed to pull out a 1-0 victory over the Bruins on Tuesday night. Although the Bruins have found some new struggles of late, I would imagine they were licking their chops when they knew they'd be hosting a very injury-riddled team, but despite the injuries, the Hurricanes took it to the Bruins.
Matt Cullen (Don) continued to miss time with what was diagnosed as a concussion and he'll be in the press box at least until the weekend, so he won't be much good to any pool team in the near future. The Hurricanes were also without Ray Whitney (Jeff) and Glen Wesley (Box 17) because of the flu bug that has been plaguing the NHL over the last few weeks. I'm sure the team was glad to see a guy like Sergei Samsonov (non-pool) show up, just for the sake of being a healthy body.
The Hurricanes are still months away from having Justin Williams (Ryan) back in the line-up, if he returns at all; Scott Walker (Box 21) may be ready for the weekend; finally, Bret Hedican (Box 22) is still day-to-day with a knee injury.
