If you saw the Sabres logo and immediately thought of Tim Connolly (Chris), you would be correct! The oft-injured centre was out of the line-up last night against the Senators due to a groin injury. The groin injury should keep him out of the line-up for about a week, give or take a game. There's no rush to bring him back, as his fragile condition isn't suited for a quick return.
Also in Sabres camp, Jaroslav Spacek (Dieter) left last night's game with back spasms. He finished the second period with the spasms, but elected to sit out the rest of the game. He'll likely be re-evaluated in the coming days and a prognosis will be given, likely before Saturday's game against the Devils.
