Concern is high again for Rangers winger Brendan Shanahan (Marcus). He shut his playing down with seven minutes to go in the game against the Flyers last night. There hasn't been any word as to whether or not the injury is substantial or even related to his knee-on-knee collision that he had in Edmonton earlier in the week.
With the Rangers already losing the game 5-2 at the time, it may have been a decision to rest the knee, rather than risk any further damage. Reports from the game don't indicate any sort of instance where an injury was sustained, so the rest may have been what the veteran needed to compete on the weekend.
The Rangers will go again on Saturday, at home to the Canadiens.
